4/1/2023 0 Comments Ffxiv on a clear dayI'm not saying this happened, I'm just saying this is a farfetched possibility besides there being a bug. But the last time this hidden room was filled to the max and so you had no chance to fullfil the quest In other words there could be the case that you always missed to find a specific room that had less than the maximum amount of zombies in it. AND as we all know sleepers get distributed randomly. New situation in A20: Now most quests already show as cleared/finished after killing less than the max number of zombies. I even tried the "killall" command to no avail. Had the issue where the "clear zombies" part of the quest wouldn't complete, and I know for a fact I killed all the zombies. I know where all the zombies are and I basically just speed run it now. I've been doing farm_02 restore power quests in A20 for the last several nights in a row. You don't just assume that the game glitched and THAT'S why you couldn't succeed and then console command it as a win. That is how you turn a fail into a success. The OP admitted that what he thought was a bug turned out to be not a bug once he searched again and found the area he missed. So if you are still failing with the radar blips that we have then- no, you definitely aren't entitled to a console command that counts it as a win and lets you go back to the trader for your loot. You should be able to search a building completely without the use of any radar and succeed. The game is meant to be played with you interacting with the open 3d world and not meant for you to simply play a radar blip user interface minigame. The yellow blip is meant to communicate you have just one area left to search and guides you to that final area. If you want all the zeds to show up on radar at the beginning so you can just follow blips around and not have to do any actual searching then you are using it as a crutch and not the guide it is intended to be. The blips are meant to be a guide once you are close to zeds after approaching an area of the POI you haven't encountered before and not meant to be a crutch. It means that you must methodically search through larger POI's so you don't miss anything. Therefore, they will never all spawn as soon as you start the quest. Zombies will only spawn as you get near to their spawn volume. Sorry but that is a tech limitation that will never change. Unless TFP forgot (and we have to remind them) I expect this to be in A20 among numerous smaller fixes. The fix will be that those zombies won't count for finishing the quest. And this problem was acknowledged by TFP and a fix "promised". Now granted, a trap room where you don't fall into the trap should not lead to a situation where you are worse off than someone who fell in. If a boss kills me in a fight, I also don't die willingly, I still fail. You are failing it because a part of a game function is not working like it was supposed to. You are not walking out of the area and/or failing to grab the satchel. You are not "failing" the quest willingly. Users shouldn't have to resort to willingly cancel a quest just because a function of the game isn't working properly. That sounds like a game problem.not a user problem. Otherwise, what's the point of having a yellow indicator in the first place if it's not going to tell you where the remaining Z's are at?Įven if you do happen to miss 1 small room in a huge POI like the deshong tower for example, the indicator should tell you that. All of them should spawn as soon as you start the quest.
